Convicted family killer Chris Watts is reportedly seeking to marry again while serving multiple life sentences for the 2018 murders of his pregnant wife and two young daughters.
Watts has reportedly applied to marry Lizzie Henderson, an Ohio realtor he met while he was incarcerated. According to her relatives, the pair have submitted an application to marry while Watts remains in prison.
Henderson has also reportedly started using the name “Lizzie Watts” and filed a confidential petition seeking to legally change her name. Court records reportedly confirm that a Lizzie Henderson filed a name-change case, although details of the petition remain sealed.
Henderson reportedly relocated from Ohio to Wisconsin to be closer to Watts, who is serving his sentence at Dodge Correctional Institution. She has also become a regular visitor to the maximum-security prison.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Henderson confirmed that she is in a relationship with Watts, acknowledging that some people may consider it “weird.”
She declined to disclose how they met, saying the relationship was between herself, Watts and God.
Watts is serving five life sentences without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann Watts, and their daughters, Bella and Celeste, in Colorado in August 2018.
